Coach Training
The Benefits of Professional Coach Training
Coaching is integral to personal and professional growth, necessitating specific core competencies. These competencies can significantly impact your capacity to lead and assist others as a manager, coach, teacher, or mentor. Core competencies are necessary for effective coaching, and they can be developed and improved to help you become a more effective coach and achieve your goals.
The coach training process involves acquiring and refining the necessary skills, competencies, tools, and methods to become a successful coach. Coach training typically involves theoretical knowledge, hands-on exercises, and guided practice sessions. Various coach training options are available, such as online courses, face-to-face workshops, and certifications. Additionally, some programs specialize in particular areas of coaching, such as Leadership and Executive Coaching, Life Coaching, Career Coaching, and Emotional Intelligence coaching.
Certification Program
ICF LEVEL I (ACC) Certification Overview
The ICF (International Coaches Federation) is a global standards-setting organization that provides various levels of certifications for coaches. “ACC” stands for “Associate Certified Coach.” The first level of ICF certification is a Level I ACC (Associate Certified Coach), an entry-level credential representing fundamental Core competencies and practices of coaching. To earn an ACC, a coach must demonstrate their ability to establish ethical practice coaching agreements, trust, safety, active listening, evoke awareness, maintain a presence, and facilitate the client’s growth and development. An ACC credential is earned through specific training provided by an accredited ICF coaching program, accompanying a specified number of coaching hours, Performance Evaluation, Mentor Coaching, and Exams. Higher levels of ICF certification include PCC (Professional Certified Coach) Level II and MCC (Master Certified Coach) Level III.
ICF LEVEL II (PCC) Certification Advanced Overview
The Professional Certified Coach (PCC) certification is a more advanced form of coaching competencies than the Accredited Coaches (ACC) Level I credential. To be eligible for the PCC, coaches must meet various criteria, including training, experience, and demonstrating proficiency in coaching. To demonstrate coaching ability, coaches must adhere to the International Coaching Foundation (ICF) Code of Ethics and Coaching agreements, trust, safety, active listening, evoke awareness, maintain a presence, and facilitate the client’s growth and development.
